This piece began by thinking about how humans adapt: the process of moving from comprehension and control to incomprehension and vulnerability.

By recording the image of my body, as it is in space and verified by natural elements, I am validating its presence.

The position in which I orient my body communicates the significance of that position and draws a connection to the emotion associated with that physical orientation, leaving a trace of my mental state, or internal structure, with its preconceptions, prejudice, fears, confidence, self-worth and comprehension.

Over the course of creating these works, I lose control and then regain it, only to lose it again.
