This series began with the process of moving from comprehension and control to incomprehension and vulnerability.

By recording the image of my body, as it is in space and verified by natural elements, I validate its presence.

The physical orientation of this body leaves a physical trace of an emotional state, or internal structure, with its preconceptions, prejudice, fears, confidence, self-worth and comprehension.

Over the course of creating these works, I lose control and then regain it, only to lose it again.

“Each day we defy gravity and other natural forces to create and sustain an orderly world; at night we give in to these forces and take leave of the world we have created.” -Yi Fu Tuan
